    SUPPLEMENTARY EXPERIENCE
    1992 - 1997 AUSTIN COMMUNITY TELEVISION
    Independent Producer
ACTV, Austin’s local Public Access television station, broadcasts productions by independent producers. As a volunteer, I assisted in many different productions in a variety of positions, from fill-in camera technician to director. I was head writer and co-host of “Cutting Edge Comics”, a weekly, live television program from August 1992 to August 1994. When I was certified as an independent producer in February 1995, I became producer until August 1997, renaming the show “Comics Connection” but continuing the tradition of quality programming covering the world of comics. Producing the show included: creating scripts for news, editorial, and pre-taped feature segments, as well as questions for interviews; financing; providing creative direction; casting, staffing technical positions, and performing many of the technical tasks myself, including direction, editing, lighting, and camera work.

    1991 - 1992 INFINITY PUBLISHING
A start-up company intended to publish a magazine. As one of four partners involved in starting the company, I helped gather information for inclusion in the prospectus, the rough draft of which I co-wrote. Though we were unable to acquire financing during our window of opportunity, the experience provided me with an education in starting a business.

    EDUCATION
Austin Community College and University of Texas at Austin
Coursework in aerospace engineering, business, and technical writing
